Not on and from the way the OP describes it, it sounds like it wasn't a big deal to ask her - it's meant as emergency contraception and I'm getting the feeling that instead of using a condom, the bloke just thought, oh well she can take MAP tomorrow. BUT the fact she is now asking him for money makes me a little less sympathetic. I kind of think that if he didn't use protection, she knew what she was doing, she could have not contacted him again and I wouldn't have that much of an issue with it. She had the baby and had nothing to do with him, but then she got tight for money, contacted the CSA and is now claiming maintenance. She found out she was pregnant and decided to tell him, and he suggested an abortion and was rather angry she hadn't got the MAP. However when he did ask about protection (the morning after) she assured him she would take the morning after pill, which clearly she didn't. I didn't have that much of a problem with it at first because if he was stupid enough to not even consider protection, which he didn't then I don't think she was that in the wrong. The woman really wanted a baby and got fed up of waiting for mr right, her mum suggested she just use a one night stand, so she did!

He has no control over the situation and he's freaking out about being a dad with someone he probably doesn't know. It's harder for him in some ways to the girl because he doesn't KNOW the kid is his so on the one hand I'm sure he WANTS to help, but he doesn't want to get attached or help out a kid that isn't his. if he doesn't plan to be with her, then he has no need to do this and emotionally, this is a big change for your son as well. In terms of the girl and her wanting emotional support. I would hope you and your son could sit down with her, calmly, to talk about what she expects while explaining to her what you and he are prepared to do (would you/he want a visitation order for example or just wing it). I'd be putting money aside though to assist down the line.

If it were me I'd be loathe to help her out financially until the DNA test came back. Legally, everyone else has addressed so I'll just address the other (unasked) part that everyone else is talking about.
